When you examine your skin, you may observe little growths or areas that look different compared to the surrounding skin. These are called skin lesions, which may appear on your face. You may want a lesion removed if it’s unattractive, painful, or irritating. Although many skin lesions are benign (noncancerous), a lesion that has changed over time might need to be biopsied to test for cancerous cells. If you have a lesion you would like examined or removed, schedule an appointment with a member of our staff.
